UPDATE: County Parks Remain Open; White River Campground Closes Until Further Notice
In an effort to safeguard the public and park staff during the COVID-19 pandemic, Hamilton County Parks have closed the White River Campground until further notice. Campground and park staff deeply regret any inconvenience caused by the closure and are working closely with campers that have made reservations during the affected time.
Following are other HCPR facilities and amenities that will remain closed until further notice:
- Enclosed facilities: Cool Creek Nature Center, Taylor Center of Natural History, Koteewi Range, K-Trails and Koteewi Aerial Adventure
- Rental facilities and shelters
- Fitness stations, playgrounds, disc golf course and basketball courts
In addition, all Hamilton County Parks programming, events, onsite activities, organized or league sporting activities are suspended until further notice.
ALL HCPR parks, trails and restrooms remain open to users, providing park visitors practice responsible social distancing (minimum 6’) and isolated recreation. Park restrooms continue to be cleaned and sanitized multiple times daily, while trash removal services remain in place, as well. Park guests are asked to place trash in lined receptacles only.
HCPR staff thanks the public for its support, patience and adherence to its park user guidelines, in addition to the precautionary guidelines provided by the CDC (cdc.gov/coronavirus/2019-ncov/index.html). We look forward to the time when we can provide the quality recreation and nature education that you have come to expect. Until such time, we hope everyone remains safe and healthy.
