Caterpillar Crawl
Join our staff as we use the twilight “blue” hour to
look for caterpillars and other insect activity with a UV
flashlight and keen eyes. We will stroll around, checking
the host plants caterpillars use as food sources during
their larval stage of life. Our hike will meet inside the
Taylor Center, but we will be focusing our exploration
in the wooded areas just outside. Our staff members will
have a UV light, but guests are welcome to bring their
own flashlights too if they would like which could help
in finding these elusive, camouflaged insects!

very basic light set up to try to attract moths.
