Are you interested in learning about fun and exciting careers in Parks and Recreation? Hamilton County Parks and Recreation Department (HCPR) has partnered with the Exploring Program, a national nonprofit, to provide a unique opportunity for youth to explore potential career fields. The HCPR Post will help give your teen valuable networking and access to the work of “Parks and Rec” professionals and the many different skill sets needed to serve our county residents.

The HCPR Post will present on topics based on the learning outcomes of the Explorers. Possible topics include public service, youth programs, land stewardship, forestry, archaeology and preservation, landscape management, parks administration, event planning, volunteer management, public relations/social media, and heavy machine operations.
The HCPR Exploring Post will use interactive experiences to help Explorers gain clarity in their future career choices and provide opportunities for service and leadership within the club. The group will meet monthly from October to June and will meet on the third Thursday of the month.
