Bring the little ones to explore nature! Learn about a specific nature topic and then head outside to explore the subject in the park. Dress for the weather – we will try to go out every month! Give your children the love of nature.

Owls and coyotes are active in the upcoming winter months. We’ll learn about these elusive
creatures that are our neighbors.

The Woodland Creatures Christmas List for Santa
What do the deer, owl, fox, and other woodland animals ask Santa for each Christmas? Is it different from your list? We’ll make a little present for the Cool Creek critters, too.

Birdwatching
Got an observant little one? It’s not too soon to encourage that love of watching all things wild by introducing a child to bird watching. We’ll keep it simple and fun. If you have a pair of kid-sized binoculars, feel free to bring them.

Tracks in the Snow
What are those funny shapes in the snow and ice? Which types of animals are active in the winter at Cool Creek? We’ll briefly study some tracks inside before we head out to find animal "footprints."
