Training & Additional Resources

NIMS & ICS Training
The Hamilton County Health Department encourages all responders and volunteers to obtain training as mandated by the US Department of Homeland Security. The National Incident Management System (NIMS)/Incident Command System (ICS) establishes standardized incident management processes, protocols, and procedures that all federal, state, local and tribal
responders will use to coordinate and conduct emergency response actions.

Standardized Processes
With all responders using the same standardized processes, protocols, and procedures, they will all share a common focus, and will be able to place full emphasis on incident management when a homeland security incident occurs either due to natural disasters or acts of terrorism.
