Public Health Emergency Preparedness

To lessen the effects of all-hazards emergencies, the Hamilton County Health Department (HCHD) is engaged in pre-planning and coordination with private and public sector agencies. All staff members participate in National Incident Management System/Incident Command System (NIMS/ICS) trainings and exercises to transition daily programs into appropriate Centers for Disease Control and Prevention preparedness capabilities.

Mission

Our mission is to safeguard the health and lives of residents, businesses and partner agencies, and to prepare for and respond to public health threats by providing direction, coordination and support through an all-hazards approach.

Staff
