10/21/19: This project is under construction and now 78% complete.
Beginning Friday, September 27, a traffic shift to the south side of the bridge began and will remain throughout the duration of the project. This will also involve closing the sidewalk along the north side of the bridge throughout the duration of the project. A map is included to show the signed pedestrian detour. The detour consists of 8th Street, Conner Street (SR-32), Nixon Street, and Logan Street.
Please continue to exercise caution while driving through the construction area.
Bridge 207 carries Logan Street over the White River in downtown Noblesville.
This is a joint project between Hamilton County and the City of Noblesville. The existing bridge will be rehabilitated and widened to provide pedestrian connectivity between downtown Noblesville, River Walk, and Federal Hill Park.
The existing bridge will be rehabilitated and widened. A pedestrian path will be added to south side of the roadway and separated from vehicular traffic by bridge railing. The existing bridge railing will be replaced with railing to closely match the proposed railing along River Walk in Noblesville. Decorative lighting will be installed along the bridge and pedestrian path.
