Dawn Coverdale, Hamilton County Auditor, has announced that, in order to be applicable to the next tax bill, the statutory deadline for filing tax deductions is December 31st. Once this deduction has been filed, you do not need to refile unless there is a new mortgage, a deed change on the home, or the property has been put into a trust. Filing tax deductions could result in significant savings even if you do not have a mortgage on your home.
